Continuum of Care Consultants, LLC is a national company led by the former CEO of an international long-term care association. We work nationally so that our clients can choose among multiple geographic locations to find the options that best serve their needs.
We are fortunate to live in a country where there is a multitude of options to care for senior citizens. However, having so many options can create confusion and stress as we try to navigate through the system.
Taking the time to choose the right care option becomes even more difficult when we don’t live near our parents, and we’re already stressed trying to balance work, family, activities, and more.
Most of us do not plan very far ahead when it comes to care options for ourselves or our older family members. We tend to wait until the crisis hits -- Mom falls down and breaks her hip, Dad has a heart attack, Uncle Lou gets lost going to the corner store -- and we are forced to make a quick, often uninformed decision about caring for ourselves and our families.
One of the major problems with the eldercare system is that it tends to be very localized. Meaning, if your family member lives in a particular city or county, most eldercare resource centers or consultants will refer you to a care organization in that same city even if one that better suits your needs is located a few miles away in another city or county.
It takes an extraordinary amount of time and energy to compare care options in a variety of regions.
